Among the other useful reporting the site has compiled of late is a look at the shifts in state legislatures following the 2024 elections. In Michigan and Minnesota, for example, Democrats lost their governing trifectas, meaning that the party no longer has majorities in the state House and state Senate along with control of the governor’s mansion. Generally, though, the results in states that held elections offered relatively modest change.
